LATAM to Launch Nonstop Flights Between Lima and Montego Bay Starting This Year

LATAM, the largest airline in Latin America, will launch nonstop flights between Lima, Peru, and Montego Bay, Jamaica, starting 1 December.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, these flights will operate three times a week, utilising two aircraft with capacities of 144 and 174 seats.

Delano Seiveright, Senior Advisor & Strategist in the Ministry of Tourism, highlighted that the airline will facilitate connections not only within Peru but also to other South American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia.

Expressing confidence in Jamaica’s tourism offerings and the country overall, Seiveright noted that this development will significantly enhance tourism growth and diversification efforts.

LATAM had previously operated flights to Jamaica during December 2019, January, and February 2020, but services were halted due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
