Former Reggae Girlz Coach Vin Blaine Named Director of Football for US Virgin Islands
The US Virgin Islands Soccer Federation has officially named Vin Blaine as its new Director of Football.
Blaine, a seasoned coach with a rich history in football leadership, previously held the same position from November 2019 to February 2022.
In the statement released on Friday, the federation expressed its pleasure in welcoming Blaine back into the role, citing his wealth of experience, knowledge, and undeniable passion for the sport.
The announcement highlighted Blaine’s diverse background, having served in various capacities across multiple countries.
“The USVI Soccer Federation is pleased to announce that it has appointed Vin Blaine as Director of Football. With a wealth of experience, knowledge, as well as a passion for the game, Director Blaine has served in numerous roles in multiple countries. One of his most recent roles was being the Head Coach of Reggae Girlz (Jamaica). The future looks bright for Virgin Islands Football,” the federation stated in its social media post.
Vin Blaine, currently serving as the Director of Soccer at the Village Elite Soccer Academy in Palm Springs, Florida, brings a comprehensive understanding of football development and coaching to his new role.
His previous positions include Technical Director for the Harbour View Football Club, Technical Director for the Grenada Football Federation, and Technical Coordinator for Jamaica’s National Women’s teams from 2005 to 2012.
Blaine served as head coach of the Reggae Girlz from December 2021 to September 2022.
