Nicholas ‘Axe Man’ Walters of Jamaica Notches Second Win After Semi-Retirement Comeback
Former WBA Super World Featherweight champion Nicholas ‘Axe Man’ Walters secured his second consecutive victory since returning from semi-retirement.
The 37-year-old Jamaican boxer impressed in the ring with a resounding 2nd round knockout against Colombian opponent Reynaldo Esquivia.
Despite facing a late change of opponent, as 46-year-old Esquivia stepped in for the originally scheduled Karluis Diaz, Walters demonstrated his adaptability and skill in the ring.
The unexpected twist did not deter Walters, who maintained his focus to secure another impressive win.
This victory serves as a crucial part of Walters’ preparation for his upcoming match on January 12, where he is set to face the unbeaten Canadian boxer, Lucas Badhi.
Walters expressed his determination to continue his winning streak, emphasising the significance of each match as he works towards reclaiming his status as a dominant force in the featherweight division.
Walters’ return to the ring last February saw him secure a dominant points win over Colombian Luis Diaz Marmol, further solidifying his comeback.
The Jamaican boxer’s resilience and skill have garnered attention in the boxing world, and his upcoming clash with Lucas Badhi is eagerly anticipated by fans and pundits alike.
