Alana Reid, the 18-year-old former Hydel High School sprinter, has officially embarked on a new chapter in her burgeoning track and field career.

Reports have confirmed that she will now be training with the prestigious Star Athletics Track Club in the United States.

Alana Reid, who signed a professional contract with Nike in June, had previously been under the tutelage of her high school coach, Corey Bennett.

Notably, the young sprint sensation is already the Pan American U20 100m champion, a testament to her remarkable potential.

She also sprinted to victory with a blistering 10.92 seconds in the Class I Girls 100m at the 2023 ISSA GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships.

This remarkable achievement marked a historic moment as she became the first female athlete to break the 11-second barrier at the championships.

She will now train alongside some of the most illustrious names in track and field, including World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson and relay gold medalist Twanisha Terry.

Sources close to the situation have confirmed that Alana Reid will be under the guidance of former US sprinter turned coach Dennis Mitchell.
