Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz Set to Receive Well-Deserved Payments This Week for World Cup Success!

The Jamaica Reggae Girlz, who made a historic appearance in the round of 16 at the recent FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, will finally receive their payments this week.

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has confirmed that the players will be compensated for their achievements.

Each player is set to receive USD $60,000 for reaching the round of 16, in addition to a contractual agreement entitling them to 20% of the USD $1,870,000 prize money awarded to the federation by FIFA.

The JFF also intends to clear any outstanding debts owed to the Girlz from the previous year.

The JFF is currently in the process of finalising all payments, including those for the players, officials, and management, ensuring that everything related to the World Cup is settled.

Furthermore, FIFA has opted to send the players’ money directly to them, while working with the JFF to address tax obligations to the Australian government.

The exact distribution of the prize money is being coordinated between FIFA and the JFF, with the JFF keen to sign off on these details and expedite the process.

Despite these administrative intricacies, the top priority for the JFF is ensuring that the Reggae Girlz receive the compensation they rightfully earned for their exceptional performance.
