Jamaica Climbs 5 Places in Latest FIFA World Rankings!
Jamaica’s football team has reason to celebrate as they made a significant climb of five places to reach No. 58 in the latest FIFA world rankings.
This impressive rise comes after their strong performance in the Gold Cup, where they reached the semifinals before falling to the eventual champions, Mexico.
While the top 11 teams remain unchanged, Jamaica’s ascent showcases their growing potential and impact on the international football stage.
With their eyes set on continued improvement, football fans eagerly await Jamaica’s future performances and anticipate seeing them reach even higher positions in the global rankings.
The top 11 teams are unchanged with World Cup champion Argentina at No. 1. France, Brazil, England, Belgium, Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and Spain complete the top 10.
The two highest ranked CONCACAF teams are the United States (11th) and Mexico (12th).
Jamaica is currently the 6th highest ranked team from CONCACAF.
Gold Cup runners-up Panama made the biggest climb, vaulting 12 places to No. 45, after defeating the U.S. in a penalty shootout in the semifinal.
At the lower end of the table, there was upward progress for the Cayman Islands (No. 193, up four places), Gibraltar (No. 198, up four), Aruba (No. 199, up four) and Liechtenstein (No. 200, up four).
