Crystal Palace Sets Sights on Reggae Boy Demarai Gray!

Crystal Palace has intensified their interest in Raggae Boy Demarai Gray, as they seek to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

The 27-year-old winger has expressed his readiness to depart Goodison Park, feeling frustrated with limited starting opportunities towards the end of the previous campaign.

With several clubs vying for his signature, Gray also has potential openings in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

Although Everton aims to strengthen their attacking prowess, they are willing to part ways with Gray for the right price. Signed by manager Rafa Benitez from Bayer Leverkusen for a modest £1.7 million, the Merseyside club needs to generate funds to navigate Financial Fair Play restrictions. They have set an asking price of approximately £12 million for Gray’s services.

Already, Everton has completed the sale of striker Ellis Simms to Coventry City for a deal worth up to £8 million, as well as the transfer of promising teenage left-back Ishe Samuels-Smith to Chelsea for £4 million. In addition, Southampton has expressed interest in defender Mason Holgate.

Gray showcased his abilities last season, featuring in 36 matches across all competitions and contributing six goals. Notably, his crucial equalizers against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest proved invaluable for Everton. However, Gray is now seeking new challenges and opportunities to further his career.

Amidst their pursuit of Gray, Crystal Palace has recently secured the services of Ashley Young on a free transfer. Additionally, talks have been held with Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma, who also features prominently on the Eagles’ wishlist.

Palace anxiously awaits the decision of free agent Wilfried Zaha regarding his next club. Meanwhile, Michael Olise, one of their key players, is expected to miss the start of the season due to a hamstring injury. Operating within a restricted budget, Palace has also inquired about the availability of Flamengo’s Matheus Franca.

With Crystal Palace firmly eyeing Demarai Gray as a valuable addition to their attacking unit, the Jamaican international’s potential move could provide the Eagles with the much-needed firepower and creativity in their pursuit of success.
