Shamar Nicholson will soon jet off to Russia to continue his burgeoning career as a footballer.
Nicholson,24, has been plying his trade in the Belgian Pro League as a striker for RSC Charleroi for two years.
He recently signed a long-term deal with Spartak Moscow and will officially join the club during the January transfer window (2022).
During his first season with Charleroi, Nicholson found the back of the net 10 times in all competitions, eight of those in the Jupiler league to help Charleroi finish third in the league.
The striker scored nine league goals last season, and has been enjoying his best season to date with the club this year, netting 13 league goals, including two hat-tricks.
Nicholson’s recent form will certainly give head coach of the Reggae Boyz – Paul Hall a lot to think about as he ponders on team selection for the upcoming World Cup qualifying games next year.
