7 More COVID-19 Related Deaths Recorded Locally

7 more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in Jamaica, increasing the death toll since the pandemic began to 1,841.

Five of the deaths occurred in Trelawny, while St. Mary recorded two.

The deaths were recorded from August 18 to September 23.

Two more deaths are being investigated.

  

Hospitalisations from COVID-19 remain on the decline, with 619 people admitted, down from 648 on Saturday.

Ninety-six patients are severely ill, while 46 are in critical condition.

Jamaica also confirmed 252 coronavirus cases on Sunday from 1,187 samples. The positivity rate is 20.6 per cent.

The overall case count has now risen to 83,030.
