Jamaica Records 527 COVID-19 Infections In Single Day!
On Friday – 527 new COVID-19 cases were recorded across the island – increasing the tally of recorded cases from 24,776 the previous day, to 25,303.
Three more deaths were also attributed to the disease, bringing the death toll to 433.
One of the three newly deceased persons is a 76 year old man from St Catherine, while the others are a 91 year-old woman and 48 year old man from St. Ann
A fourth death is under investigation.
The Corporate Area (Kingston & St Andrew) led again with 149 new infections, followed by the parish of St Catherine with 98 and St James, 76.
Globally, 117 million COVID-19 cases have been recorded with 2.59 million deaths so far being attributed to the disease.
