Four More COVID-19 Recoveries For Jamaica

2 new positives put total number of confirmed cases at 490

Jamaica has seen four additional recoveries from COVID-19 and two new confirmed positive cases.

This brings to 62 the total number of recoveries and to 490 the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The two new cases were males, one aged 35 years and the other 57 years. The 35 year old remains under investigation while the 57 year old is the contact of a confirmed case.

  

There are 224 confirmed COVID-19 cases related to the workplace cluster. These individuals are primarily from the parishes of St. Catherine and Kingston and St. Andrew, and range in age from 17 to 53 years old. They include 168 females and 56 males.

At this time, there are:

• 35 imported cases,

• 181 cases that are contacts of confirmed cases

• 24 that are local transmission cases not epidemiologically linked; and

• The 224 that are linked to the workplace cluster in St. Catherine; and

• 26 under investigation. These figures have been updated following investigation, review and reclassification of cases under investigation.
