Miss World winner , Toni-Ann Singh is to perform in Jamaica in just a few days.
She is to scheduled perform during a a cultural concert at Emancipation Park in New Kingston this Saturday.
Minister of Gender, Culture, Entertainment and Sport – Olivia Grange made the announcement on Wednesday.
While speaking with members of the media, Grange said she has been having dialogue with Julia Morley, the head of the Miss World Organisation, and with Singh.
“I’ve been impressing upon them, how eager we all are to see her and to celebrate with her as she begins her reign.
“The initial response from Mrs Morley was that she had a very tight schedule and it would be unlikely before sometime in January. But after discussions, many late night discussions, we all agreed that Miss World should return home for a brief visit organised by the Government of Jamaica,” Grange said.
