Tough Draw For JA’s U-20 Reggae Girlz In Next Year’s Concacaf Under 20 Championship
Jamaica’s under 20 reggae girlz will face off against some strong teams in next year’s Concacaf under 20 Women’s Football Championship.
Jamaica has been drawn in group B’ where they will face off against defending champions Mexico. They will also take on Canada, and St Kitts and Nevis.
The girls will do battle with Mexico on Wednesday, January 29, at the HEB Park, in Edinburg, Texas before tackling Canada on Saturday, February 1 at the same venue.
Their final group game will be against St Kitts and Nevis on February 4 also at Edinburg.
Beaten finalists – the United States, along with 2018 third place finishers Haiti, along with Costa Rica and Panama will face off in group A’.
The first and second place finishers of each group will advance to the semifinals. Semifinal winners will then automatically book a spot in the tournament’s final, as well as the women’s Olympic football tournament Tokyo 2020.
The final will be played in Los Angeles, on Sunday, February 9.
