Rajae Layne Leads Dinthill To Victory Over Cornwall College

On Wednesday night Dinthill Technical striker Rajae Layne found the back of the net twice to lead his team to a 2-1 victory over last season’s beaten finalists Cornwall College.

The win means that Dinthill Technical has booked a spot in the daCosta final scheduled to take place at the Montego Bay Complex on Tuesday.

Layne scored against the run of play as his team was on the back foot during the game’s early exchanges.

Dinthill Technical took the lead in the third minute via a quick break. Jehvonne Redman controlled a long cross and played the ball inside the 18-yard box to Layne who just managed to steer the ball into the back of the net.

Cornwall College fought valiantly and equalised in minute 32 via a tremendous free kick from approximately 30 yards out courtesy of Brandon Curate.

Layne got the game’s winner in minute 73 when he dribbled between two defenders to calmly slot the ball past the Cornwall College shot stopper.
