Kingston, Jamaica – Escarpment Road New Testament Church of God, over November 16-17, will bring a slew of free medical and legal care services to the community of Palmers Cross, Clarendon.
Partnering with the Palmers Cross New Testament Church of God, the team from 3B Escarpment Road will set up on the church grounds and provide these wellness services to the community of Palmers Cross and its environs.
Rev Dr Stevenson Samuels, Senior Pastor at Escarpment Road said, “this Health and Wellness Clinic forms part of our church’s commitment to care for the poor and the ill among us. We do this every year in November as our major missions thrust and take with us Jamaica’s best Dentists, Opticians, Doctors, Lawyers, Pharmacists and Nurses to the people, absolutely free of cost.“
The church has executed similar clinics on the church grounds in August Town, in Port Maria, Yallahs and Danvers Pen in addition to UHWI. They have also sent Missionaries to Savannah-la-mar, Newport and overseas to St Vincent and Sudan. Over the past four years, the church has catered to over 1000 patients.
Free cleaning and extractions, general medical checks, optical exams and legal counseling will be available to residents. A pharmacy on site will dispense medication for common ailments throughout the day. The clinics open at 9:00am on Saturday and 1:00pm on Sunday.
