The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) revealed via a statement that a fire at the Cardiff Hall Substation resulted in several customers in the parish losing power supply.
The areas affected by the substation fire are: Runaway Bay, Discovery Bay, Salem, Queens Highway, James Hill, Bohemia, Cave Valley, Nine Miles, Watt Town Aenon and surrounding areas.
The JPS says remedial work is currently underway and restoration to all affected areas is expected before midday today (June 25).
