‘Bibi’ Writes Touching Tribute to Germaine Mason
On Thursday, former national footballer Ricardo ‘Bibi’ Gardner shared a touching tribute to his late friend, Germaine Mason via Instagram.
Mason, an Olympic silver medalist an Jamaica’s high jump record holder, died in a motorcycle accident last week.
The 34-year-old crashed along the Port Royal main road in Kingston.
Gardner’s tribute reads as follows:
“We always would say what is life without the F and u would say a big Lie. Life is the ultimate and i wish I could turn back the hands of time. They say this will get easier but it’s becoming harder each day not having u around. I wake up in the mornings and wish the day could move a little bit faster for me to go back to sleep. I have never felt this way until the day I lost u bro. I will meditate and think about all the joy and great times we had to overcome that last picture I have in my head bro. I know you don’t want to see any of us like this but it’s difficult and I know you would understand say it rough mi breda. With that being said I promise you that we will rise up back to the level u love to see us at, and though this will take a little time we will not disappoint you in doing so. I’m happy u knew how much we love u bro and we knew how much u loved and cared about us also all. U will forever be in our hearts in everything we do, and our experience with u and with the guidance of our Most High we are going to be stronger and better in dew time bro. We give thanks for your presence on Earth with us Bro?????? not many spirits are pure but GOD have us #WeMissubro”
