Jamaica’s level two team was also the top prize winner in its category.
Sydney Chung, Arianna Morrison, Alexis McPherson, Victoria Lewin, and Tannarra Thompson formed the Level Two team.
Following the tremendous results by the Jamaican teams, president of the Jamaica Gymnastics Association, Nicole Grant, shared her delight with the team’s performance.
“The team did exceptionally well at the Caribbean Fest in Virginia and I am very proud of them, knowing that they went out there and competed to the best of their abilities.
“Before they competed I told them that I would still be proud of them regardless of the outcome… all I required was that they gave of their best to make themselves, Jamaica, and their parents proud, and that’s exactly what they did,” she is quoted as saying by The Observer.
