Bolt Not Scared of Losing More Relay Gold Medals
Jamaica’s triple world record Holder Usain Bolt is not losing any sleep over the thought of losing more sprint relay gold medals.
Earlier this year, Jamaica’s winning 4x100m men’s relay team that competed at the Beijing Olympics was ordered by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to return their gold medals following a failed drug retest by Nesta Carter.
Carter’s sample from the Beijing 2008 Olympics was found to contain the substance Methylhexaneamine during the IOC re-testing in 2016.
However, Methylhexanamine was added to the WADA prohibited list in 2010 as a stimulant.
Carter teamed up with bolt on three straight IAAF World Championship relay-winning teams but missed the 2016 Rio Olympics.
He has since appealed to the court of arbitration for sports to contest the decision by the IOC.
And in a recent interview with CNN, Bolt stated that he isn’t worried about losing more relay gold medals.
