Hanover Woman’s Severed Hands Reattached by Doctors
A Hanover woman who was victim of a gruesome attack that resulted in her hands being chopped off may one day regain the use of her limbs.
The brutal attack took place on Monday and was carried out by the woman’s estranged husband – a Haitian national.
Doctors at the Cornwall Regional Hospital reportedly spent more than 12 hours on Monday reattaching the arms that were severed in the attack.
The woman is reportedly conscious now but remains in a critical state and though her limbs were reattached, a senior medic at the hospital stated it was far too early to determine if the operation will be successful.
Up to Tuesday evening, the suspect Justin Cisceron, hadn’t been charged.
Cisceron allegedly attacked the woman around 7:10 am as she walked to work.
He reportedly chopped her to her back and hacked off her hands before fleeing the scene.
He was apprehended hours later at his St James home.
The two reportedly got married in 2015 and separated December 2016.
