Bolt Wins Record-Equalling Fourth World Sportsman of the Year Award
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt was the recent recipient of the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award.
The world’s fastest man received the award for a record-equalling fourth time following his incredible feats on the track at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Bolt became the first person in history to complete a ‘treble treble’ of 100m, 200m and 4x100m Olympic titles at the 2016 Rio Games, but had his 2008 relay gold stripped last month after team mate Nesta Carter failed a drug retest.
He received the award at a magnificent ceremony in Monaco.
Bolt was previously named World Sportsman of the Year in 2009, 2010 and 2013.
Tennis star Roger Federer also won the award of four occasions.
