Jah Max – A Rising Reggae Star!

Jah Max is a Reggae artist who’s set off to make it big in the Music industry.

Andre Paul Wedderburn (born December 13, 1989), better known by his stage name Jah Max was born at the Jubilee hospital, Kingston, Jamaica in 1989, and grew up in the Arnett Gardens district of Kingston.

He was involved in music from a tender age where he started to cover songs by Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Buju Banton and other established artistes.

And this was where his talent was discovered by family and friends who complimented him about his vocal talents and encouraged him to take music seriously.

Andre then moved from the harsh community of Arnett Gardens to Portmore at age four where he attended Belmont Park Primary.

He later attended Ascot High where he earned himself a few awards and certificates but was expelled while in 5th form.

He eventually moved on to attend Bridgeport High to complete his subjects. And it was then that Jah Max finally started taking music seriously.

In 2005 at the age of 16 he recorded his first song professionally titled “Haven’t I Told U Girl”. Unfortunately that song didn’t fare well due to limited promotion.

However, that didn’t stop the young talent from pursuing his dreams.

In 2006 he met Dario Twin City Dixon the producer of Cr3 Records and recorded his first underground hit title “Ruff times”which earned him recognition as an artist.

He began working with Cr3 Records on a more permanent basis after Dario(Producer) recognised his talent. While working with Cr3 records, Jah Max recorded songs such as “I love you”, “Loving You”, “Always There”, “Royal Ladies” and many more.

His biggest highlight came courtesy of the song titled “Make some money” featuring upcoming Rapper Saydis and a single titled “Prayer”.

He was then discovered by Pound Sterling in 201. £ound $terling is also a Reggae artist/Producer/Songwriter who owns his own Label titled UKJA Entertainment which Jah Max is also a part of.

In 2013 Jah Max gained international recognition with the song “So cold”  featuring Dan Giovanni and Chaos. He followed that up with songs like Smooth sailing, Loyal & Faithful, Somebody like you and others.

His song Loyal & Faithful entered the Numberonemusic (N1M) music chart at number 21, but quickly climbed to #1 after only a week on the chart.

Jah Max has a steadily growing fan base in Holland and Uganda, where his songs “One spliff a day” and “Smooth sailing” are hugely popular and receive heavy rotation on the radio stations. He’s now presently working on a documentary, set to be released later down in 2017.
