Bolt’s Final Race On Jamaican Soil Rapidly Approaches

Jamaica’s nine-time Olympic gold medallist – Usain Bolt will run his last race on home soil at next year’s Racers Grand Prix.

Bolt, now 30-years of age has many times expressed his intention to hang up his spikes after the 2017 World championships which will be held in August, 2017 in London.

At the most recent Olympic Games, Bolt became the first person in history to complete the ‘triple-triple’ after winning gold in the 100, 200 and 4x100m relay events.

He had done the same at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.

During a recent interview on Television Jamaica’s ‘Smile Jamaica’ Bolt confirmed that his final race in front of local fans will be at next year’s Racers Grand Prix.

“Yes I am definitely going to retire after the World championships in London, that will be my last one”.

“The Racers Grand Prix will be my last race in Jamaica people, it will be the last time I run in Jamaica”.

The 2017 Racers Grand Prix is likely to be held in the second week of June.

This weekend the government of Jamaica is to honour Bolt and other members of Jamaica’s team who participated in the Rio Olympic Games.
