Explosive U17 Reggae Boyz Beat T&T 3-2
Jamaica’s senior men’s football team has not had great results in recent times.
After shocking the world to reach the final of the prestigious Gold Cup tournament in 2015, the team has faltered greatly, with the team’s most recent result being a 2-0 home loss against minnows Haiti.
The Reggae Boyz are already out of contention for a spot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and are currently ranked 80th in the world on FIFA’s rankings.
Jamaica’s U17 squad contrastingly, continues to do quite well on the international stage.
The young Reggae Boyz on Tuesday won their CFU U17 Men’s Qualifying match against Trinidad & Tobago 3-2.
The goal scorers for Jamaica were Raewin Senior on mins 13 and 74 and Nicque Daley who scored in the 35th minute.
The team previously beat Bermuda 6-2 in their opening match, then drew 0-0 vs Haiti in their second group game.
Jamaica now heads to the Semi-Final round of the tournament after finishing the group stage in second place behind Haiti on goal difference.
