Bolt Hints at Future in Football in Interview

The world’s fastest man, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt last month cemented his status as a sprint legend after winning his 9th Olympic gold medal.

His victory, with the help of his teammates in the 4x100m men’s relay final at the recently concluded games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil saw him complete the unprecedented ‘triple-triple’.

Usain Bolt is now the first person in history to win gold in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay events at three consecutive Olympics.

Bolt has for some time stated that he intends to retire from track and field after the 2017 World Championships in London.

However, the sprint phenom, who is known to be a big fan of football recently disclosed that he is considering becoming a footballer following his retirement.

During a recent interview on the Ireland based Pat Kenny Show, he stated:

“Football is something that I always wanted to try, so it is still a thought in the back of my mind,” he stated.

“But it’s not first on the agenda, we’ll see how it goes.”
