Usain Bolt Wins GOLD in Men’s 200m Final – Rio Games
Just moments ago, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt won the men’s 200m final at the Olympic Games currently underway in Rio de Janeiro Brazil.
The world’s fastest man clocked 19.78 seconds to comfortably win the event ahead of Adnre De Grasse of Canada who clocked 20.02s.
Christophe Lemaitre of France earned himself a bronze medal after finishing third in 20.12s.
Adam Gemilli of Great Britain was fourth in 20.12s.
Churandy Martina of the Netherlands was fifth in 20.13s, while LaShawn Merritt of the United States was 6th in 20.19s.
The last two men to cross the line were Alonso Edward, 7th in 20.23s and Rmil Guliyev who clocked 20.43s.
This most victory represents Bolt’s 8th Olympic gold medal and he is now one gold medal away from completing his ‘triple-triple’ – winning the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay for a third consecutive time at the Olympic Games.
