Omar McLeod Wins Gold in Men’s 110m Hurdles – Rio Games
On Tuesday night (August 16) Omar McLeod won gold for Jamaica in the men’s 110m hurdles final at the Olympic Games currently underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
McLeod got off to a good start and managed to place a considerable distance between himself and the rest of the field before crossing the finish line.
His time was 13.05s.
Orlando Ortega of Spain was second in 13.17s, while Dimitri Bascou of France did just enough to earn a bronze medal with his time of 13.24s.
In 4th place was another Frenchman. Pascal Martinot-Lagarde (13.29).
America’s Devon Allen came in 5th in 13.31, ahead of Canada’s Jonathan Cabral (13.40).
Milan Trajkovic (13.41) was 7th while Ronnie Ash of the United States finished last in 13.45s.
