‘Ellen Show’ Tweet About Usain Bolt Labelled as Racist
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt recently became the first human in history to win a 100m event at three consecutive Olympic Games.
The world’s fastest man stormed to victory in 9.81s, and he did it in glorious fashion.
One photographer managed to capture an image of Bolt leading the field just before crossing the finish line with what appears to be a smile, a stark contrast from the faces of his competitors who desperately batted for the two remaining medal positions.
Following his incredible victory, a tweet was made by The ‘Ellen Show’ showing a doctored version of the image with the popular TV show’s host – Ellen DeGeneres riding piggyback on Usain Bolt.
The tweet has since sparked tremendous controversy with many persons claiming the tweet was racist.

A later tweet by the The ‘Ellen Show’ then addressed the issue:
I am highly aware of the racism that exists in our country. It is the furthest thing from who I am.
