Bolt Reportedly Earned £5million Per Second During Historic 100m Win
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt reportedly earned £5 million per second as he bolted down the track to victory in his historic 100m win at Olympic Games on Sunday (August 14).
Financial expert Paul Garbett of marketing firm Fast Track, while speaking with The Sun stated:
“Usain is a marketing man’s dream. Brands will be keen to cash in as he approaches the twilight of his career. A farewell tour could net him a fortune.”
The triple world record holder, with his most recent victory became the first person in history to win 3 consecutive gold medals in the 100m event at the Olympics.
He now holds 7 Olympic gold medals as he continues his bid to become the first man to win an unprecedented ‘triple-triple’ of gold medals in 3 consecutive Olympics.
Experts believe his victory in the 100m final has doubled his earning potential for the next 12 months.
Bolt is estimated to have earned a £47 million fortune in advertising and sponsorship deals over the course of his career, a figure that’s expected to reach £55 million in the next year.
