Bolt Dedicates Historic 100m Gold Win to Jamaicans
On Sunday night (August 14), Jamaica’s Usain Bolt solidified his legendary status as an athlete at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro with a win in the men’s 100m final.
The historic victory was his third consecutive triumph in the event at the Olympic Games, a feat no other person in history has ever accomplished.
He clocked 9.81s to defeat America’s ace sprinter Justin Gatlin who took the silver in 9.89s.
Canada’s Andre De Grasse was third in 9.91.
Following his incredible achievement, the world’s fastest man dedicated the win to Jamaicans via the following social media post:
