Jamaica’s Starting XI Against Chile, Kick Off Time
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz yesterday completed their final preparations for of a friendly clash against world no.3 ranked Chile at the Estadio Sausalito at 7:30 pm (6:30 pm Jamaica time) today.
According to the Jamaica Football Federation, the team’s final training session included passing drills, shooting and sprints.
Head coach Winfried Schaefer has announced his starting eleven to face La Roja.
Goalkeeper Ryan Thompson will start between the sticks.
Adrian Mariappa and Jermaine Taylor will be in the centre of defence, flanked by Kemar Lawrence on the left and Je-Vaughn Watson on the right.
Lee Williamson and Michael Hector will be responsible for the central midfield.
Garath McCleary will play out wide on the right, with Dever Orgill on the left. Giles Barnes will play as the withdrawn striker in behind Clayton Donaldson in a 4-4-1-1 formation.
Jamaica will participate in the prestigious Copa America Centenario to be held in the United States from June 3-26.
The Boyz will have games against Venezuela on 5, Mexico on 9 and Uruguay on 13 June.
TVJ Sports Network will have a live telecast of the encounter against Chile beginning at 6:00 pm with a rebroadcast on TVJ at 10:00 pm.
