VIDEO: Fight Zik-V – Reggae Style

Jamaica was one of the countries ravaged by an outbreak of the awful Chikungunya virus in 2014.

The economic loss to the island was severe with reports estimating the losses to be in the billions.

With the emergence of the Zika virus (another nasty mosquito borne virus) in the region, many countries are trying to find creative ways to enlighten and warn their citizens about its dangers.

The Ministry of Health has released an infectious public service announcement titled “We nuh want Zik V” to impart useful information on how to curtail the spread of the virus.

The video stars obstetrician and gynecologist Michael Abrahams.
