Lady Saw Wants to Acquire Building to Help Homeless Persons in Downtown Kingston
Popular entertainer Marion Hall, more commonly known as Lady Saw has expressed a strong desire to help the homeless.
According to Zip FM, the renowned reggae and dancehall singer was left disappointed after her attempts to feed homeless persons on Thursday (October 1) were met with opposition from The Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation, KSAC.
Town Clerk, Robert Hill later stated that it is prohibited to feed the homeless without going through the necessary channels.
Despit this Lady Saw says she is willing to set up a building to provide for the homeless.
Saw stated she sought to acquire a building but later discovered the building would cost $85 million, a price too high for the entertainer to afford on her own.
The entertainer also stated that if an old building could be provided to her, she would use it to feed the homeless and allow them to take showers.
