Suspicious Bag Causes Security Scare at US Embassy
There was a security scare at the US Embassy in Kingston yesterday morning (September 21) after a bag with unknown items was left at the front of the premises.
According to the Observer, the embassy was placed on lockdown after the bag was discovered.
Senior officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said that at about 11:00 am a car slowed down at the premises and people travelling in the vehicle threw out a black bag.
“The embassy was immediately placed on lock down and members of the bomb squad were sent to the location,” said a senior officer.
