Jamaica Included in List of 18 Most Miserable Countries in the World
Jamaica has been included in a compilation of the 18 most miserable countries.
The list, compiled by Business Insider is based on economist Arthur Okun’s “Misery Index,” which adds together a country’s unemployment and inflation rates.
The higher the number, the more “miserable” your country.
Business Insider used 2014 data available from the CIA World Factbook to create the list.
With a misery-index score of 20.7 per cent Jamaica was number 17 on the list.
