“Can’t Sleep and Can’t Eat After Games” Says Reggae Boy in Very Emotional Post
Jamaica is the only Caribbean nation to ever receive an invitation to the prestigious Copa America tournament.
Being placed in what is regarded by many as the most competitive group with Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina, the Reggae Boyz were not expected to cause any upsets.
So far the Boyz have been living up to expectations despite a great effort against Uruguay in their opening match having registered two 1-nil defeats.
Now the ‘Reggae Boyz will face their fiercest challenge yet since the tournament began when they take on Argentina on Saturday June 20th. Their only hopes of remaining in the competition depend on an unlikely victory over La Albiceleste (Argentina).
On Wednesday, Harbour View FC international Kemar Lawrence, who currently plays for the New York Red Bulls and also represents Jamaica shared some thoughts via an emotional post on Facebook.
“Can’t sleep and can’t eat after games, this is all I got,God gave me something special and am trying my best and I know some of my teammates change tops after the game but that’s not y they go out there either.we are greatful to represent a beautiful and great country as ja and we won’t stop until we start winning.dont think we go to bed after nights like this because we dont, the shit we do out there keep replying in our heads and that leads to sleepless nights and frustration on how to get it right but with god there is hope.i am proud to be a Jamaican”.
