Jamaica’s ‘Axeman’ to Defend Title Against Miguel ‘The Scorpion’ Marriaga

Jamaica’s undefeated Nicholas ‘Axeman’ Walters will soon defend his title against Colombian fighter Miguel ‘The Scorpion’ Marriaga.

Walters  is the current WBA World Featherweight Champion.

He has a 25-0 record with 21 knockouts while ‘the scorpion’ has a 20-0 record with 18 knockouts.

Marriaga and Walters will face off inside Madison Square Gardens in New York on June 13, not only for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Featherweight Supertitle, but both men will  want to remain unbeaten.

Though both are unbeaten as professionals they did meet before and there was a loser.

During an Olympic qualifying bout in Guatemala Marriaga beat Walters 14-9.
