Jamaica Beats the USA 1-0! (Highlights)
Jamaica’s young Reggae Boyz have significantly increased their chances of securing a spot at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup after securing a 1-0 win over the United States in their Group A showdown at the CONCACAF Under 17 Championships in Honduras.
The lone goal of the game was scored from the penalty spot in the 57th minute by Nicholas Nelson.
The result sees the young Jamaicans moving to the top of the table on 10 points.
It also means they will advance directly to the FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Chile in August providing tonight’s other game between tournament hosts Honduras and Guatemala ends in a draw or a loss for the Hondurans.
Tonight’s result was the second time a Jamaican team was beating the Americans at the under 17 level and makes it the third overall win for a Jamaican team over their American counterparts.
