NCB to Significantly Increase Some Fees
Following fee adjustments in October last year, the National Commercial Bank is again making changes to its fee structure.
According to Irie FM, National Commercial Bank, (NCB), has announced that several of its fees are to be increased as of Monday March 16.
The increase will impact in-branch transfer transactions between accounts, whether held in local or foreign currency, transfer to third party accounts and balance enquiry in branch or via customer care centre for business customers.
Customers wishing to transfer funds from one own NCB account to another while in-branch will have to pay $1165 up from $364..
$1165 will also be charged for in-branch transfers to the account of a third party.
To transfer between one NCB foreign account to another will also be impacted by the new fee structure.
For US accounts the fee will be US$10.31, for accounts held in pounds sterling, £6.80, just under C$11.79 for accounts in Canadian dollars and €8.76 cents for Euro accounts.
Business customers will have to pay $1165 for balance enquiries done either in branch and or using the customer care centre.

maybe if people move their accounts to other banks they might get a hint when they have no one to charge these rates , but again most Jamaicans tend to act foolish
Hahahahahaha they wanted to do this last year , but this year while these fools sit back and let it happen
close all your ncb accounts and save the headaches
Well, changing banks is one solution, and a reason why clients are unhappy with the banks’ services in Jamaica.I cannot fathom the reason why they would change fees again in less than 12 months, unless their profitability situation is less than stated by their auditors; which is usually the case. This time their clients should resist all such changes, and ask for a costing to support these charges. What now is becoming clear, is for Government to check and approve charges before implementation.
They increase fees for transferring your own money, that they are making a profit on, but no increase on what interest they pay you, this is criminal, and the govt. allow it !! Tek out unuh money and put it some where else, I hear VMBS no have no charges !!!
Nobody is forcing nobody to bank with these predators. You know what I am doing – removing my money and minimizing use of cards at POS machines. Too dry eye! KMT
