Jamaica is in Serious Trouble
So we have a government that does not value education, and we have an opposition leader who is showing his true colors – that you cannot believe anything that comes out of his mouth.
The man stood contrite before God and man and offered an apology for his misdeeds, much to the effect that he made it known he was NOT RESPONSIBLE fro drafting the famous LETTERS, yet lo and behold, he is now appealing that which he was not responsible for! Any sanky can sing suh? And people actually think he is better than what we have now? SERIOUSLY?
Common sense would dictate that if A) he was not responsible, B) He offered an APOLOGY, then clearly he has no clue. If Andrew Holness is the best Jamaica has to offer to the tragedy called the PNP, then Jamaica is in a world of trouble.
One would think that as the leader of the opposition in trying to get the votes of the people in the next elections, that he would be speaking TO the PEOPLE and letting them know what he would be doing differently to put JAMAICA back on track. Instead he is ARROGANT enough to suggest that people should not question the business of the JLP. Were he not so ARROGANT and full of himself, he would understand the fact that as the party that hopes to hold the victory seat at some point, the business of the Jamaica Labour Party automatically becomes the business of ALL Jamaicans.
Weeks ago I asked those who support him what were his plans for the country in terms of adequate health care, the issue of crime, etc. I still have not yet received an answer that makes any sense.
In light of what is happening where the PNP does not value education, and the leader of the opposition being more CONCERNED about being right, it shows that Jamaica is truly going, gone, and dun tun over to the dogs.
At this point I would take the words of Mr. Crawford and say that not only young Jamaicans should pack up and leave, but EVERY Jamaican who can afford to should, as clearly the only thing that matters to the leaders on both sides at this point is power, regardless of the cost!
While Portia is looking for queen ship, Andrew is striving for DICTATORSHIP.
Neither one is any good for a country that claims independence, but the money nuh value NUTTEN, or a country where only the name ‘Jamaica’ is left to be sold to foreign investors.

People with their political agenda are masked by their ideas and will lead people astray. I do know that Jamaica has it’s fair share of problems just like the rest of the world. I do know that the Leader of the Opposition might well be misguided re the current issue with his senators. Also, I am aware of the fact that there are many ills in Jamaica just as there are in other countries; but I don’t want to hear the folly that government does not value education and that the dollar has no value. I can boast that I… Read more »
jamaica has become a one party state,by default.the constitution should be change so that when the …..hole fights to get power, and do nothing, they should be asked to repay all the money they got.it’s time for term limit and been a politician should become a service and not a JOB
Advising Jamaicans to leave Jamaica seems to be the only advice being thrust on the young and vulnerable of the population . What is the motive behind this advice ? Under the British rule I could understand that a certain sector of the population would prefer to try and make a living in countries which provided adequate opportunities to work . I was born in Jamaica, late 30’s and left there in 1956 . Dad was a civil servant and worked for the Government until he retired , ending as one of their senior Accountants . An old KC boy… Read more »
I agree that the world has its share of problems; I am praying that one day all these politicians are held more accountable for their actions…Both jlp and pnp ….My perspective is that crime is the biggest deterrent..yes crime is every where, however, for the size and the per capita it is quite high…and not to mention how barbaric some of these people have become. .The truth is a lot of brain drain has left Jamaica mainly for Crime and financial reasons were secondary..I am praying for a new set of politicians that are guided by integrity and respect God…
