Jamaica’s Nicholas ‘Axeman’ Walters Earns Knock Out of The Year Title (Video)
Jamaica’s Nicholas ‘axeman’ Walters and current World Boxing Association (WBA) featherweight super champion, is off to a great start for 2015, after earning the Knock Out of the year title.
Walters who is currently unbeaten is the front-runner for the sportsman of the year title later this month.
He was awarded the title for his sensational knockouts in 2014.
Walters’ stoppage of Nonito Donaire in the 6th round of their contest in October was impressive enough, but his knockout over Vic Darchinyan last may in Macao, china, was even more savage.
This was voted knockout of the year by fightnews.com.
After dropping Darchinyan in round five, the hard-charging world champion followed up that by blasting “the raging bull” into wonderland with a massive left hook on the chin.
The former four division world champion lasted 2-minutes and 22 seconds of the 5th round as Walters cruised to his 24th victory and 4th straight knockout.
