Could this method eliminate mosquito-borne viruses in Jamaica? (Video)

Unbeknown to many is the fact that mosquitoes are the most dangerous animals on the planet.

In fact, the mosquito has claimed more lives than any other creature in human history.

According to the World Health Organization, mosquito bites result in the deaths of more than 1 million people every year.

Currently, the most popular method of reducing the mosquito population in Jamaica (fogging) does not appear to be very effective.

The mosquito-borne virus Chikungunya has been swiftly spreading throughout every nook and cranny in the island.

In the highly informative video below, you will be introduced to a rather ingenious method of drastically reducing mosquito populations.

Do you think the presenter’s proposed method could be viable in Jamaica? Let us know in the comments.

Yes, bio-engineering can work! How can we convince the powers that be to join the programme? It needs proper planning and execution, surely we can achieve that as well as cleaning up the environment?
