4-yr-old girl dies after eating at Restaurant in St. Thomas
A restaurant in Morant Bay, St Thomas has been closed by health officials following the untimely death of a four year old girl who got sick and died after eating there on Friday (September 10).
According to a report by The Observer, health officials have closed the restaurant in Morant Bay in the parish after a 4-year-old died and others got ill after eating there Friday.
“We have closed the facility and we are doing additional investigation to determine what was the true source [of the illness],” Dr D’Oyen Smith, the parish’s medical officer of health, told OBSERVER ONLINE Saturday.
“We have identified most of the persons who were exposed and have put corrective measures in place,” Smith added.
Four-year-old Devonise Garwood fell ill Friday afternoon after having a meal of rice and peas and chicken at the restaurant.
She died around 1:00 pm Friday at the Princess Margaret Hospital while undergoing treatment. Other relatives reportedly fell ill after eating there as well.

We all have to take time to check what we eat who thought you would loose your life eating rice and peas .

its rat poison i hear

its not the rice and peas that kill her, chicken is a well known ground for bacteria, in europe these days, it gets a lot of attention in the media that you should not touch the raw chicken unless you wear gloves…rat poison is of course also a possibility.
this is really so sad,,,,,ope they find out what kill her.
