Ten Facts about Jamaica’s Recently Appointed Commissioner of Police
On Monday (September 8), Minister of National Security announced the appointment of Carl McKay Williams as Commissioner of Police.
He will officially take office on Monday September 15, 2014.
Here are ten facts about the commissioner designate you probably didn’t know courtesy of Loop Jamaica:
1. He is 50 years old
2. Enlisted in the constabulary in February, 1984
3. Headed Narcotics Division for four years between 2000-2004
4. Was the first head of The Major Organised Crime and Anti-corruption Agency (MOCA)

7. Obtained his PHD in Criminal Justice at the Sam Houston University in Texas, USA.

10. Lectures on various topics in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
