Security guard busted for buying sex from 12-yr-old girl
A 42-year-old security guard has been arrested for buying sex from a 12-year-old girl.
He’s Omar Gray, from a Kingston 13 address.
Gray was arrested after a report was made of the matter to the police.
The accused appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday and was offered $150,000 bail.
He’s to return to court on October 15.
Before being offered bail, Gray tried explaining to the court that he had bought sex from the girl but Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey shot back, “A 12-year-old cannot sell sex.
It’s one thing to sell sex, it’s another thing to solicit and buy it.”
Later in the proceedings, his attorney told the court that Gray really thought that the complainant was “well over 16″.
She said the complainant was among other sex workers when her client, who “thought she was of age” made the purchase.
