Just like Jamaica, Serbia missed out on Qualification to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and is using this friendly as preparation to their UEFA 2016 European Championship Qualifiers, while Jamaica on the other hand is preparing for the 2014 Caribbean Cup which will be hosted in Montego Bay, St. James in November.

The Serbians have called up a robust squad of players who play in the English Premier League, Serie A and La Liga. Some players to keep an eye on are Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, former Mnchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic and Filip Dordevic.
