Fraser-Pryce and Campbell-Brown to Face off in Oregon

The two time Olympic 100 metres champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Veronica Campbell-Brown will face off for the first time this season in the women’s 100 metres event on Saturday at the Pre-Fontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon the next meeting in the IAAF Diamond League series.

The provisional starting list for the event which also includes Kerron Stewart has 8 of the women who contested the 100 metres final at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Americans Tianna Madison and Allyson Felix are also listed for the event along with Murielle Ahoure of the Ivory Coast and Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria.

World Indoor championship medallist Nesta Carter will feature in the men’s 100 metres which will be highlighted by the clash between the Americans Justin Gatlin and Walter Dix.

World leader Nickel Ashmeade is entered for the men’s 200 metres while two-time Diamond league winner Kaliese Spencer  is down to compete in the women’s 400 metre hurdles.
