Prominent Montego Bay Businessman Shot Dead By Gunman
A prominent Montego Bay businessman was reportedly shot dead by a lone gunman in Montego Bay on Wednesday afternoon (July 19).
He is 51- year-old Winston Chue of a West Gate Hills, St James address. He reportedly operated the Consumers’ Meat Plus supermarket on Barnett Street.
Reports indicate that shortly after 2:00 pm, Chue was standing beside his motorcar along Miriam Way when he was approached by a man who pulled a firearm from his waist and shot him.
The gunman then made his escape on foot.
The businessman was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Freeport Police are now probing the incident.
