Buju Banton – I’m Daron

Dear Buju, many people have asked, how could you.

Mistake the white for green,

After many years of keeping yourself clean.

Buju, they’ve asked, how could you?

You were a ‘Champion’ ‘Driver’,

Travelling over ‘Hills and Valleys’ too.

But they’ve turned your sky grey from being blue.

Buju Banton poemYou had a ‘Close One Yesterday’ that regrettable day.

But I know that God has placed an angel over you.

Buju Banton – I’m Daron, just another man,

Who is praying that your limbs will not fail you,

But they will incessantly fuel your tenacity.

As I recapitulate your own words and reverberate

Them in your spiritual ears, ‘hold a firm meditation

Because one day things must get better’.

I don’t know how you are doing,

But I do hope that you’ll keep on living.

Buju Banton – I’m Daron,

And I pray that God will continue to hold your hands.

Until you are able to tell your ‘Untold Stories’.
