13 People Shot in Kingston,St Catherine in 24-hr Period
Wednesday (October 22) was an extremely bloody day in the parishes of Kingston and St. Catherine.
According to a report by Loop Jamaica, gunmen shot 13 people on Wednesday, six fatally in separate incidents across Kingston and St Catherine.
In the first incident, at around 10:30 am, three men were shot dead in Pine Apple Lane, Bog Walk, St Catherine. The three men have been identified as Malty Taylor or “Malty” from the community; and farmers “Patrick” and “Pete” from Kingston addresses.
According to reports, Patrick and Pete had gone to the area to purchase coconuts, after which explosions were heard. After a search of the area, the bullet-riddled bodies of the two Kingston men along with Malty were found.
Investigators report that less than an hour later on the same day, two men were shot and injured in another incident, in the neighboring community of Gilbraltor.
And while crime scene detectives searched for clues in Gilbraltor, they were called to the scene of another crime – this time in Rockfort, East Kingston where six people were shot, three fatally.
Police report that a group of persons were sitting at a bar in Rockfort, when criminals attacked and opened fire on the group.
The criminals then went to another area and shot and injured two other persons.

It is time to call on the criminals to bring in the guns
Gun crimes have gotten out of hand and it’s time the police did something constructive to put a stop to all these unnecessary murders on the island. When was the last amnesty for criminals etc., to hand in their weapons? I know it’s not the answer but the government should also be ploughing money into building new businesses, encouraging self employment and concentrate on further education for those who can’t read or write to enable them to get jobs. This is much more favourable than spending millions of dollars on a private jet for a worthless T&T preacher to go… Read more »
It is time to call on the criminals to bring in the guns

It sadden my heart to see what our beautiful island has become. It’s like, life has no value. People kill each other like it’s a way of life. When is this going to stop? When will we get back to the day of one love ❤? When will be able to build our homes with encompassing it with bars like prison? When will people be able to travel back home without the fear of be robbed or killed? What happened to the days when we grew each others children instead of raping and killing them.
